The Working Centre

Self-Directed Courses - Group sessions include on-line tutorials, videos, exercises, and one-on-one support. Topics include introductory courses to Microsoft Word and computer basics. Prices range from $15-20/month. Call ahead at (519) 743-1151 to register.

Self-Directed Training - On-line tutorial courses are available at The Working Centre. Participants follow step-by-step interactive instruction in how to use the program they want to learn about. There are more than 100 courses to choose from, including Computer Basics, MS Word 2000, and MS Excel 2000.
Individuals can sign up for two sessions (3 hrs each) per week. ($10/month). Sign-ups are on-going.

Waterloo Regional Library

Courses includes sessions for novice users of the Internet, word processing and web design. Each course consists of three two-hour sessions over three weeks.

Waterloo Region District School Board - Adult and Continuing Education

Courses in computer basics, Microsoft Office, graphics/multimedia, specialized software. Fees from $20.

Waterloo Region District School Board - Fifty-Plus Computer Courses

Courses for people aged 50 and older include Windows, introductory Internet, searching on the Internet, and geneaology.
