Acknowledgments
The Region of Waterloo Healthy Communities Good Ideas Group has done it again. We have held our
second and successful Community Forum - Stories from the Front entitled "Chaos, Change and
Opportunity in a Caring Community". We started out with a few dedicated individuals who were
part of our first event, and ended with more very enthusiastic people.
The support was largely due to the volunteer efforts of the Victoria Hills Neighborhood
Association and some very key people, specifically Trudy Beaulne, who was contracted, thanks to the
Region of Waterloo Community Health Department, early in the process to co-ordinate the entire
event.
The following is a list of people who assisted in this year's event. I would like to thank
them and their respective organizations for their contribution of time, talent and effort:

Thanks is also extended to those individuals who assisted either by facilitating a small group
or recording the results: Ronnie Lowry, Holly Corman, Shelly Adams, Lynn McCaffrey, Christiane
Sadeler, Julia Berfelz, Cyndi Long, Arli Klassen, Miriam Argueta and D'Arcy Farlow.
The results of our evaluation process clearly indicate a successful event and a suggestion that
we do it again! Thanks to the recent approval of a grant from the Waterloo Region's 25th
Anniversary Healthy Community Fund, a third event is expected.
Thanks for your participation and support!
