The Waterloo Region Community Homelessness Network has been restructured and renamed the Waterloo Region Housing and Homelessness Umbrella Group. A website was launched in November 22, 2006. For current information about the activities of the HHUG go to www.hhug.ca

Report from National Workshop
The Public Policy Forum has issued a report of the proceedings of the National Roundtable on Homelessness, held in Ottawa on March 27 following a series of 15 workshops across the country.
The purpose of the workshop was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Supporting Communities Partnership Initiative (SCPI) to ascertain:
- Is it working effectively?
- Should the initiative continue?
- How do we fill the gaps in need that still exist?
- What should be the focus of a new initiative?
- What advice should be given to the minister responsible for homelessness?
