The Waterloo Region Community Homelessness Network has been restructured and renamed the Waterloo Region Housing and Homelessness Umbrella Group. A website was launched in November 22, 2006. For current information about the activities of the HHUG go to www.hhug.ca

Research on Health and Homelessness
The National Secretariat on Homelessness and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research have developed a research partnership on homelessness issues. They have issued a call for proposals for research projects that will help capacity that assesses and reduces health disparities and promotes equity for vulnerable populations. The goal is to enable health researchers develop programs that describe, investigate and ultimately reduce health disparities.
