Toward a New Canadian Housing Framework
National Homelessness Initiative: "In January and February 2005, the National Secretariat on Homelessness of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) conducted a series of consultations to seek the contribution of stakeholders in the development of a new Canadian Housing Framework... Toward a New Canadian Housing Framework (216K PDF) provides an overview of what was heard throughout the consultative process. It is not meant to be an exhaustive summary of the discussions, but rather is intended to provide a synthesis of the perspectives and ideas raised by participants."

Poverty and Homelessness Panel
The Network's quarterly meeting will feature a Poverty and Homelessness Panel to: raise awareness of poverty as a factor related to homelessness; articulate the importance of dignity and valuing the individual regardless of their situation in life; provide a jumping off point for inviting the Network to endorse the Ontario Needs a Raise Campaign and Network members to participate in the September 29th Walk, Wheel, Ride for Dignity rally in Toronto. The meeting is happening Wednesday September 28, 2005, 1-4pm in Room 508 at 99 Regina St S, Waterloo.
