Key Questions For Information Gathering From Community Partners
- How are the issues of inclusion and exclusion relevant to you and your organization?
- Does your organization have policies, rules and/or practices that include or exclude youth and/or seniors with organizational decision-making?
- What barriers exist that may prevent your current or potential clients from participating in what your organization has to offer?
- What effective strategies exist for reducing barriers to participation in the community for seniors? For youth? For both?
- How can the community be more inclusive of seniors and/or youth?
- What would help you better understand seniors/and or youth in your community?
- Do you have information or data that could be shared with the project (e.g. programs, statistics, studies, planning or audit tools)?
In the next stage of this project, we will be meeting with youth and seniors in our community, as well as others who support or influence them. How could you assist with organizing or hosting such a focus group meeting?
