The first workshop session of the Building Local Information Support to Ontario Newcomers Project (BLISON) has been launched in Kitchener on July 11, and facilitated both in-person and on line in Newmarket and Toronto. Social Planning Council is engaging its partners in strengthening local collaboration between the community information and settlement sectors under the lead of InformOntario, the Association of Community Information Centres of Ontario. InformOntario will support capacity building in local communities to support service delivery to newcomers across the province through online training and resources.
