Join over 60,000 Ontarians and show support for affordable housing. Kitchener is the next stop for the Housing Opens Doors Ontario tour.

This display is part of a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of affordable housing that has been organized by the Ontario Non Profit Housing Association: www.housingopensdoors.ca. The Kitchener display is being hosted by the
Social Planning Council of Kitchener-Waterloo in partnership with the
Waterloo Region Homelessness and Housing Umbrella Group.

Guest speakers from the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association and the Waterloo Region Homelessness and Housing Umbrella Group will be at 12:30 pm.
Local housing and poverty reduction ambassadors will be available throughout the day to provide information and answer any questions.

Opening Doors is a theme for the 46th Annual General Meeting of the Social Planning Council of Kitchener-Waterloo being held as part of the June 27th event. Scheduled at 12:00 noon, highlights are a report to the community on activities over 2012, election of the Board of Directors, and presentation of the Annual Social Development Awards to five (5) partner agencies in recognition of their contributions to the community in partnership with the Social Planning Council.

Everyone is welcome to view the Housing Opens Doors display at any time during the day and to attend the Annual General Meeting.
